Blekktypene, also known as ink types, refer to the various formulations and characteristics of inks used in writing, printing, and other applications. The choice of ink type depends on the intended use, surface, and desired permanence or visual effect.

There are several main categories of ink types. Water-based inks, such as aqueous inks, are commonly used in pens and inkjet printers. They are easy to clean, quick-drying, and environmentally friendly but may be less permanent and waterproof. Oil-based inks, including traditional fountain pen inks, contain pigments suspended in an oil or resin base, providing durability and water resistance. Their use is sometimes limited due to environmentally and health concerns. Additionally, there are pigment inks, composed of solid particles suspended in a liquid, valued for their lightfastness and durability.

Specialty inks include UV-curable inks, which harden upon exposure to ultraviolet light for high-quality, water-resistant prints, and sublimation inks, used in transferring images onto fabrics and coated surfaces through heat.

Inks also vary by pigment composition, dye inks, and hybrid formulations, each offering different advantages in color vibrancy, longevity, and application suitability. The selection of the appropriate ink type is essential for achieving optimal results in various artistic, commercial, and industrial contexts.
