Blaszka is a Polish term for a small plate or thin sheet of metal. The word is a diminutive of blacha, sheet metal, and it conveys the idea of a compact, plate-like piece. In everyday language, blaszka can denote anything from a baking sheet to a small engraved plate used as a label or medal, depending on context.

In industry, the generic term for sheet metal is blacha; a smaller piece or a component cut from it is often described as blaszka. Common applications include brackets, spacers, nameplates, tags, or plaques and decorative or functional metal pieces on machinery and furniture. In domestic use, blaszka do pieczenia is the thin metal tray used in ovens for baking.
