Blastocistului
Blastocistului is the Romanian term for blastocyst. A blastocyst is an early stage of embryonic development in mammals. It forms approximately five to seven days after fertilization in humans. At this stage, the embryo consists of about 100 to 200 cells and has differentiated into two main types of cells. The outer layer of cells, called the trophoblast, will eventually form the placenta. The inner cell mass is a cluster of cells inside the blastocyst that will develop into the fetus. The blastocyst also contains a fluid-filled cavity known as the blastocoel. This structure is crucial for implantation into the uterine wall, which is the next critical step in pregnancy. In assisted reproductive technologies, such as in vitro fertilization (IVF), embryos are often cultured to the blastocyst stage before transfer to the uterus, as this is considered a more advanced and potentially more viable stage for successful implantation.
