Blaskowatych

Blaskowatych is a small municipality in the northern part of Veridania, situated on the Blask River. It covers about 65 square kilometers and had an estimated population of 3,400 in 2022. It serves as the administrative seat of Blaskowatych District and acts as a local center for surrounding villages.

The name Blaskowatych is of Slavic origin; the first element Blask- is associated with brightness in regional toponymy, while the suffix -owatych is a common ending for place names in the area. The toponym reflects historical linguistic patterns rather than a single, fixed meaning.
