Blackboard
A blackboard, also known as a chalkboard, is a reusable writing surface designed for chalk. Traditionally it was a solid dark surface such as slate, but modern boards are often porcelain-enamel on steel or other synthetic surfaces that accept chalk as a writing material. Chalk is easily erased with a dry eraser, though damp cloth or mild cleaners can remove tougher marks. Chalkboards come in fixed wall installations, portable easels, and mobile boards, and many can be retrofitted with specialized chalkboard paint.
