Bioüzemanyagokhoz refers to biofuels, which are fuels derived from biomass. Biomass is organic matter from plants and animals that can be used as a source of energy. These fuels are considered renewable because the plants and organisms used to produce them can be replenished.

It can be used for heating, electricity generation, or upgraded to biomethane for vehicle fuel.

The use of biofuels aims to reduce reliance on fossil fuels, decrease greenhouse gas emissions, and support agricultural economies. However, concerns exist regarding land use for crop production, potential impacts on food prices, and the energy balance of their production. Research continues to explore more sustainable feedstocks and more efficient production methods for biofuels.
