Binckhonthe is a coastal town in the western region of Eldane on the island of Veridia. It functions as a local hub for fishing, small-scale manufacturing, and maritime services, and has a population of about 12,000.

Etymology and geography: The name is thought to derive from the Binckhonthean tongue, combining binck "hill" and honthe "harbor". The town sits on a natural harbor protected by a rocky headland, with the Tern River estuary nearby.

History: Settlement arose in the 11th century, with a fortified quay added in the 13th century. Binckhonthe prospered as a trading port in the medieval and early modern periods, and incorporated into the Veridian state in the 18th century.
