Binah, from the Hebrew word for understanding, is one of the ten sefirot on the Kabbalistic Tree of Life. It is traditionally placed on the left side of the diagram, opposite Chokhmah (wisdom), and is often associated with the process by which insight is given form, becoming discernment, analysis, and conceptual structure.
