Beretta

Beretta, officially Fabbrica d'Armi Pietro Beretta, is an Italian firearms manufacturer and one of the oldest active producers in the world. The company began in 1526 when Bartolomeo Beretta established operations in Gardone Val Trompia, in the province of Brescia, Lombardy. It originally produced arquebuses and later expanded into a wide range of military and sporting arms. Today Beretta operates as a privately held group, Beretta Holding S.p.A., controlled by the Beretta family, with manufacturing and distribution networks in Italy, the United States, and other countries.

Beretta produces pistols, shotguns, and other firearms for military, law enforcement, sport, and civilian markets. Its best-known semi-automatic pistols belong to the 92 family, including the 92FS, which saw widespread adoption by armed forces and law enforcement and was adopted by the United States military as the M9 pistol in the 1980s. The company also markets newer designs such as the APX and PX4. In shotguns, Beretta offers sporting and hunting models and a range of self-loading and over-under designs. The group also supplies accessories, training, and after-sales service through its global network, including Beretta USA.
