Benedyktynów refers to monks belonging to the Order of Saint Benedict, commonly known as the Benedictine Order. This monastic order is one of the oldest in the Catholic Church, founded by Saint Benedict of Nursia in the 6th century. His Rule of Saint Benedict, a set of guidelines for monastic life, has been influential for centuries and is still followed by Benedictine communities today.
