In the narrative concept, beismerésébl occurs when a character’s confession triggers a temporary perceptual shift among listeners: the confessor appears unusually trustworthy, the atmosphere brightens, and skepticism temporarily recedes. This “dazzle” can strengthen social bonds or accelerate moral judgments, while masking lingering doubts and bias.
