Bauleit
Bauleit, short for Bauleitplanung, is the core instrument of German municipal land-use planning. It refers to the process and set of legally binding plans that regulate how land within a municipality may be used and how the built environment should develop, in accordance with the national Baugesetzbuch (BauGB) and higher-level planning rules. The aim is to coordinate development, protect public interests, and provide a framework for private investment.
