Barsanas
Barsanas is a town and a nagar panchayat in the Chitrakoot district of the Indian state of Uttar Pradesh. It is located on the banks of the Ganges River, approximately 100 kilometers north of the district headquarters, Chitrakoot. Barsanas is known for its religious significance, particularly for the Barsana Math, a branch of the Advaita Vedanta tradition of Hinduism, founded by Adi Shankaracharya in the 8th century.
