Bakugans

Bakugan are collectible transforming toys that were first released in Japan in 2006. They are featured in a related anime series, "Bakugan Battle Brawlers," which follows a group of children who use the toys to battle a mysterious force. The toys themselves are spherical when inert, made of plastic or metal, and can be rolled onto special metal or plastic cards. When they land on a card, they automatically pop open into a creature, revealing their combat form. Each Bakugan has a specific attribute, such as Fire, Water, Earth, Light, Dark, and Wind, which affects their performance in battles.

Battles involve players rolling their Bakugan onto gate cards. When two or more Bakugan land on the same gate card, a battle ensues. Players then choose ability cards to power up their Bakugan and determine the victor. The objective is to win a set number of battles, typically three, to win the game. The Bakugan franchise became immensely popular worldwide, leading to multiple anime seasons, video games, and a wide range of merchandise. The toys have undergone several redesigns and reboots over the years, with new series and characters introduced to keep the franchise fresh for new generations of fans. The core concept of transforming creatures battling with strategic card play has remained a consistent element throughout the franchise's history.
