BIOSn
BIOSn refers to a family of proprietary firmware solutions developed by a company named BioStar, a manufacturer of motherboards and other computer hardware. This firmware serves as the initial program that runs when a computer is powered on. Its primary function is to initialize and test system components, such as the CPU, RAM, and graphics card, before handing over control to the operating system. BIOSn firmware allows users to configure various hardware settings, including boot order, system clock, and CPU parameters. It is typically accessed by pressing a specific key during the startup process. BioStar has integrated BIOSn into many of its motherboard products, offering a user interface for system management and hardware configuration. Like other BIOS implementations, BIOSn is stored on a non-volatile memory chip on the motherboard and can be updated through a process called flashing, which allows for bug fixes and support for newer hardware.
