BIMcentric

BIMcentric is a term used to describe an approach to building information modeling (BIM) that places the model at the core of all project processes. This means that the BIM model is not just a visualization tool but the central source of truth for all project data, from design and construction to operation and maintenance.

In a BIMcentric workflow, information is created, managed, and shared through the BIM model. This includes architectural, structural, and MEP (mechanical, electrical, and plumbing) data, as well as project scheduling, cost information, and facility management details. All stakeholders on a project, including architects, engineers, contractors, and owners, access and contribute to this central model.
