Avoojitus is a fictional mineral described in speculative geology and science fiction to illustrate unusual mineral properties. In in-universe lore, avoojitus is a rare complex silicate mineral with a distinctive blue-green coloration and a high refractive index. The name combines a fictional root avooj- with the conventional mineral suffix -itus.

In fictional geology, avoojitus is portrayed as forming under extreme conditions, such as high-temperature hydrothermal systems or shock metamorphism in extraterrestrial rocks. Its crystal structure is described as hexagonal, often forming prismatic crystals up to several centimeters in length, with a vitreous luster and a transparency range from transparent to translucent.
