Autotõukete

Autotõukete, sometimes referred to as autotõuked or simply tõuked, are a type of light, motorized vehicle originating from Estonia. These vehicles typically feature a small engine, often a petrol-powered one, coupled with a frame and wheels, designed for personal transportation. They are not intended for use on public roads and are generally restricted to private property, agricultural settings, or specialized off-road tracks.

The design of autotõukete can vary widely, with some resembling simplified motorcycles and others having more utilitarian or even tractor-like features. They are often used for tasks such as yard work, short-distance transport within farms, or for recreational purposes. Due to their limited speed and lack of road safety features, their use is carefully regulated, and they are not classified as motor vehicles for general road use. The term itself, autotõukete, translates roughly to "motorized pushers" or "motorized scooters," hinting at their basic function. Their popularity stems from their affordability, simplicity, and utility in specific contexts where more complex machinery is not required.
