Aurorassuchus

Aurorassuchus is a genus of extinct crocodilian that lived during the Late Cretaceous period, approximately 99 to 97 million years ago. It is known from a single fossil specimen found in the Cedar Mountain Formation of Utah, United States. The genus name means "dawn crocodile," derived from the Latin word "aurora" meaning dawn and the Greek word "souchos" meaning crocodile.

Aurorassuchus is notable for its unique combination of features. It had a long, slender snout and a relatively small body size compared to other crocodilians of its time. Its teeth were also distinctive, with a unique pattern of grooves and ridges that suggest it may have had a specialized diet.
