Audlem
Audlem is a village and civil parish in the unitary authority of Cheshire East, England. It is situated near the River Weaver, approximately 5 miles (8 km) south of Crewe and 3 miles (5 km) north of the Shropshire border. The village is notable for its picturesque setting and historical buildings, including St. Michael's Church, a Grade I listed building with parts dating back to the 12th century. Audlem's name is believed to be derived from the Old English "ald" meaning "old" and "ham" meaning "village" or "homestead."
