Atrevan is a fictional city-state in the high fantasy setting created by authors of the Talara Chronicles. It is located on the eastern coast of the continent of Nareth, contoured by the Serene River to the south and the Grey Cliffs to the west. In the lore, Atrevan functions as a maritime republic known for trade and scholarship.

The name Atrevan derives from the old tongue atre- meaning 'sea' and revan 'path' (fictional). Historically, it emerged as a trading post in the early centuries of the age of sail, becoming a city-state after a peaceful alliance of guilds.

It is governed by a Council of Guildmasters with seats for merchants, shipwrights, and scholars, rotating leadership every year. The city emphasizes education, archives, and seafaring; its university houses the Library of Lirion, known for nautical charts and linguistics.

The economy relies on shipbuilding, trade, spices, and fish. Cultural life centers on the harbor, with annual regattas, markets, and street theaters. The dominant religion in the lore is a syncretic belief focusing on sea deities and ancestral spirits.
