Arabicization
Arabicization refers to the process by which Arabic language and culture spread and become dominant in a region. This process is often characterized by the adoption of the Arabic language, script, and cultural norms by non-Arab populations. Historically, Arabicization has been closely linked to the expansion of Arab empires and the spread of Islam. As Arab armies conquered new territories, Arabic was often established as the language of administration, religion, and commerce. Over time, local populations gradually adopted Arabic, leading to a linguistic and cultural shift.
This linguistic and cultural transformation was not always a simple replacement. In many cases, Arabic interacted
