APBP, the Association of Bicycle and Pedestrian Professionals, is a professional organization focused on advancing safe, accessible, and equitable walking and cycling. It serves planners, engineers, policymakers, advocates, researchers, and other practitioners involved in designing, implementing, and evaluating pedestrian and bicycle facilities and programs. Originally established as the Association of Pedestrian and Bicycle Professionals, APBP has broadened its scope to cover both modes and to emphasize integrated, Complete Streets–oriented approaches.

The organization provides guidance, training, and networking opportunities through resources such as design guidelines, best practices, case studies, webinars, and an annual conference. Its guidelines are widely used by transportation agencies to inform street design, crossing treatments, signals, and operations, and it publishes checklists, policy templates, and performance measures related to walking and biking. APBP's work emphasizes safety, equity, and multimodal mobility, with a focus on practical, implementable solutions for streets and public spaces. It maintains a membership of individuals and organizations across government, consulting, and academia, and collaborates with other professional groups and agencies to advance Complete Streets and Vision Zero goals.
