Ansigtsskallen

Ansigtsskallen, also known as the facial skull or facial bones, is a part of the human skull responsible for forming the structure of the face. It comprises 14 bones that support facial features, provide attachment points for muscles involved in expression and mastication, and house cavities for the sensory organs.

The main bones of the ansigtsskallen include the maxillae (upper jaw), nasal bones, zygomatic bones (cheekbones), palatine bones, lacrimal bones, inferior nasal conchae, and the vomer.
