Anarchocommunists

Anarcho-communism is a political philosophy that advocates for the abolition of the state, capitalism, wage labor, and private property. It proposes a society based on voluntary associations, direct democracy, and communal ownership of the means of production. In an anarcho-communist system, resources are distributed based on need, following the principle "from each according to his ability, to each according to his need."

Key tenets include freedom from all forms of hierarchical authority and exploitation. Anarcho-communists believe that cooperation and mutual aid are more efficient and ethical means of organizing society than competition and coercion. They envision decentralized communities where decisions are made through consensus or direct democratic assemblies. The economy would be managed by workers' councils or federations of communes.

Historically, anarcho-communist ideas gained prominence in the late 19th and early 20th centuries through thinkers like Peter Kropotkin and Errico Malatesta. While no large-scale, enduring anarcho-communist society has been established, elements of anarcho-communist organization have been observed in various revolutionary movements and social experiments throughout history. Critics often raise concerns about the feasibility of such a system, particularly regarding resource allocation, defense, and the potential for anti-social behavior in the absence of a state.
