Amebix

Amebix was an English extreme metal band formed in 1979. The band is considered a highly influential act within the crust punk and anarcho-punk scenes, and their music also incorporated elements of early thrash metal and gothic rock. Early in their career, Amebix's sound was raw and aggressive, characterized by feedback-laden guitars and shouted vocals. Over time, their music evolved to include more melodic and atmospheric elements, often exploring dark and dystopian themes in their lyrics.

The band's lyrical content frequently dealt with social and political issues, environmentalism, and apocalyptic visions.
