Amatörradio

Amatörradio, also known as ham radio, is a hobby and a service that uses radio frequencies for non-commercial, personal communication. It allows individuals to communicate with other radio amateurs around the world, or even in space. This hobby is distinct from commercial broadcasting and other radio communication services.

Licensed amateur radio operators, often called "hams," use a wide range of radio frequencies, from very high frequencies (VHF) to high frequencies (HF), and even higher bands. Licensing requirements vary by country, but generally ensure operators understand how to use the radio spectrum responsibly.
