Alvarezsaurus
Alvarezsaurus is a genus of sauropod dinosaurs that lived during the Early Cretaceous period in what is now Patagonia, Argentina. The name Alvarezsaurus was given to this genus in honor of the Argentine paleontologist Luis María de Alvar Nestares. The first Alvarsezaurus fossil discovery was made in 1983 in the Cañadón Asfalto Formation, around 125 million years ago.
