Alustaladele

Alustaladele, also known as *groundnut leaf* or *peanut leaf* in English, refers to the leaves of the peanut plant (*Arachis hypogaea*), which are consumed as a leafy green vegetable in various cultures, particularly in West Africa. The plant belongs to the legume family and is primarily cultivated for its seeds, but its leaves are also valued for their nutritional properties and culinary uses.

The leaves are typically harvested when young and tender, as older leaves can become tougher and less palatable. They are often used in soups, stews, and sautéed dishes, where their mild, slightly earthy flavor complements other ingredients. In West African cuisine, alustaladele is commonly paired with ingredients like palm oil, fish, or meat, and may be blended into sauces or served as a side dish.

Nutritionally, alustaladele is rich in vitamins A and C, iron, calcium, and protein, making it a valuable addition to diets. The leaves also contain antioxidants and fiber, contributing to their health benefits.
