The term "alsorozata" combines "Alsó" (meaning "lower" in Hungarian) and "rozs" (meaning "rose"), referencing the village's name and its cultural significance. This musical style is deeply rooted in the Carpathian Basin and reflects the region's Magyar, Romanian, and other ethnic influences.

Alsorozata typically features lively, rhythmic melodies played on instruments such as the *hurdy-gurdy* (called *csárdászüröm* in Hungarian), *cimbalom* (a type of hammered dulcimer), *dob* (drums), and *tücsök* (a type of flute). The music often accompanies folk dances, including the *verbunk* (a recruiting dance) and the *csárdás*, which are characterized by their energetic, circular movements.
