Allgemeinfertigung is a German term that translates to "general fertility" or "general infertility." It refers to the biological capacity of a human being to reproduce. In a medical context, Allgemeinfertigung is often discussed when evaluating a couple's ability to conceive. It encompasses the complex interplay of reproductive health in both males and females. For men, this includes sperm production, motility, and morphology, as well as hormonal balance. For women, it involves regular ovulation, healthy fallopian tubes, a receptive uterus, and appropriate hormonal regulation.
