Alkeeniyyliryhmät

Alkeeniyyliryhmät, also known as alkenyl groups, are a type of unsaturated hydrocarbon substituent derived from an alkene by the removal of one hydrogen atom. They are characterized by the presence of at least one carbon-carbon double bond within their structure. The general formula for a monovalent alkenyl group is CnH2n-1, where n is typically 2 or greater.

The simplest and most common alkenyl group is the vinyl group, CH2=CH-. This group is derived from ethene (ethylene). Other examples include the allyl group, CH2=CH-CH2-, derived from propene (propylene), and the propenyl group, CH3-CH=CH-, which can exist as cis or trans isomers. The position of the double bond within the group determines its specific name and properties.
