Alarühm

Alarühm is a term used in Estonian to denote a subunit or sub-group within a larger organization. It describes a smaller, self-contained unit assigned a specific set of tasks or responsibilities that fall under the authority of the parent unit. The name is formed from the prefix ala- meaning “sub” or “under” and rühm meaning “group” or “team.” In organizational practice, alarühmad have a defined mandate, a designated leader, and reporting obligations to the higher unit.
