Alandans

Alandans refers to the inhabitants of the Åland Islands, an autonomous region of Finland situated in the Baltic Sea between Sweden and Finland. The Åland Islands are an archipelago comprising numerous islands and skerries, with the largest island, Fasta Åland, being the most populated.

The population of Åland is primarily Swedish-speaking, and their culture and heritage are closely linked to those of Sweden, despite their political affiliation with Finland. Alandans have a distinct identity, shaped by their maritime history, their unique archipelago environment, and their special autonomous status.
