Alamanis
Alamanis is a term that historically referred to a confederation of Germanic tribes who inhabited the region of Alsace and parts of Swabia. The name is believed to derive from the Proto-Germanic words *alamann*, possibly meaning "all men" or "foreign men." These tribes emerged as a distinct group in the 3rd century AD, frequently clashing with the Roman Empire. Their incursions into Roman territory were significant, leading to Roman efforts to defend their borders along the Rhine River.
The Alamanis were known for their martial prowess and were often employed as mercenaries by various powers,
