Akustikos
Akustikos, often transliterated as akoustikos, is a Greek term meaning "auditory" or "acoustic." It is built from the verb akouō, "to hear," plus the suffix -stikos, forming an adjective that denotes relation to hearing or sound. In Modern Greek, ακουστικός is used to describe anything related to sound, hearing, or acoustics, such as ακουστικά φαινόμενα (acoustic phenomena) or ακουστικός εξοπλισμός (acoustic/audio equipment).
