Aktiivkõlaritega refers to systems that utilize active speakers. Active speakers, also known as powered speakers, are audio loudspeakers that contain their own built-in amplifier. This distinguishes them from passive speakers, which require an external amplifier to function. The amplifier in an active speaker is integrated directly into the speaker cabinet. This design allows for a more streamlined audio setup, as separate amplifier components are not needed.

Active speakers often feature crossovers integrated within the active electronics.
