Akterdel is a fictional mineral described in speculative fiction and world-building narratives. It is depicted as a translucent, silicate crystal with exceptional energy storage and luminescent properties, capable of absorbing ambient light and heat and releasing it as glow or usable power.

In-universe origin and naming, Akterdel derives from the imagined Akteror region and a mineral nomenclature suffix commonly used in the genre. The earliest reference appears in the Kaminar Expedition log of 2145, where researchers report luminescent veins in ultramafic rock and a distinctive thermal response that sets akterdel apart from ordinary minerals.

Geology, appearance, and uses assign akterdel to occur in pegmatitic veins within ultramafic host rocks. Narratives describe it as hexagonal prisms with a color shift from pale blue to violet under different lighting, and a high refractive index that contributes to its glow. Reported hardness is around 6 to 7 on the Mohs scale. In many stories, akterdel enables compact energy cells, emergency lighting, and ceremonial jewelry, while mining is portrayed as costly, hazardous, and tightly regulated by authorities or interest groups.
