Airretentive

Airretentive is a term used to describe a material or substance that has the ability to hold or retain air within its structure. This property is often a desirable characteristic in various applications, influencing factors like insulation, buoyancy, and cushioning.

Materials that are airretentive typically possess a porous or cellular structure. This could involve a network of small, interconnected or isolated pockets that trap air.
