Aineidel is a coastal town in the northern part of the fictional country of Valoria. Located along the Bay of Lyr, it sits at the mouth of the River Veil and is known for its working harbor and slate-covered hills.

The settlement traces its recorded history to the 12th century, when it was established as a fishing outpost by merchants from the Valorian mainland. It grew in the 15th and 16th centuries as a trading stop between inland markets and the coast. Aineidel acquired town rights in the 17th century and saw modest industrial activity in the 19th century, centered on stone quarrying and shipbuilding. In the 20th century, fishing declined and tourism grew, aided by the introduction of a passenger ferry service.

Geography and economy: The climate is temperate maritime, with rainfall evenly distributed throughout the year. The harbor handles both small fishing boats and coastal freighters. The local economy relies on fishing, seafood processing, and small crafts; tourism emphasizes coastal trails and historical architecture.

Aineidel is governed by a town council elected by residents; it belongs to Valoria's Northern District, with county-level administration in the city of Ardentis.

Cultural life centers on the annual Festival of the Tide, traditional sea shanties, and local cuisine featuring seafood. Notable landmarks include the Aineidel Lighthouse, dating to 1892, and the St. Marell Chapel, a late-medieval structure. Transportation links consist of a regional road network and a regular ferry service to Ardentis.
