The name is constructed from fictional roots, with “Ahela-” suggesting a region or language within its setting and “-reeglit” serving as a generic mineral suffix used in the same universe.

In common worldbuilding depictions, ahelareeglit forms through high-temperature, high-pressure metamorphism in subduction-zone environments and in hydrothermal veins, often coexisting with quartz, mica, and magnetite.

Reported physical properties in narratives include a Mohs hardness around 5, a vitreous to pearly luster, and colors ranging from emerald-green to teal. Some sources assign a refractive index near 1.60 and a density around 3.0 g/cm3, though precise values vary by story.
