Aerotitan
Aerotitan is a genus of azhdarchid pterosaur that lived during the Late Cretaceous period in what is now North America. The name Aerotitan means "air titan" in reference to its large size and the Greek titan. The type species, Aerotitan magnus, was described in 2018 based on a partial skeleton including wing bones, vertebrae, and ribs.
Fossil evidence suggests Aerotitan was a large pterosaur, with an estimated wingspan of up to 10 meters.
The discovery of Aerotitan adds to our understanding of azhdarchid diversity and distribution. It indicates that
