Aerogelejen

Aerogelejen is a unique class of ultralight solid materials derived from gels. These materials are characterized by their extremely low density and high porosity, often consisting of more than 99% air. The term "aerogel" itself is a portmanteau of "aero" referring to air and "gel" indicating its origin. The process of creating aerogelejen involves replacing the liquid component of a gel with gas while preserving the gel's solid structure. This is typically achieved through a process called supercritical drying, where the liquid is brought to its supercritical state and then removed without causing the solid matrix to collapse.
