Aequi
The Aequi were an ancient Italic people who inhabited central Italy, traditionally situated to the east and northeast of Rome in the central Apennines. Their core territory lay along the hills and valleys east of the Tiber, in areas that later became part of the Roman Domus and surrounding districts. The exact boundaries of Aequi land fluctuated with changing alliances and conflicts with neighboring peoples, particularly the Volsci and Sabines.
