Challenges and criticisms center on measurement complexity, risk of inconsistent branding, and potential latency or technical overhead. Privacy and regulatory considerations are important, as switching decisions often rely on user data, cookies, device identifiers, and cross-site tracking. Compliance with frameworks such as GDPR and CCPA, and adherence to consent management practices, are essential in many markets.
