Adastras
Adastras, also known as Adastra, is a genus of flowering plants in the family Asteraceae, native to the Mediterranean region. The genus includes about 20 species, which are commonly referred to as "snowdrops" or "mountain snowdrops." These plants are characterized by their small, white, cup-shaped flowers that bloom in early spring, often before the leaves appear. The flowers are typically arranged in a dense cluster at the top of the stem, giving the plant a distinctive appearance.
Adastras are perennial herbs, growing from underground bulbs or corms. They are well-adapted to cold, dry conditions
Adastras are valued for their ornamental qualities and are often cultivated in gardens for their early spring
In conservation efforts, Adastras are considered vulnerable or endangered in some regions due to habitat loss
