Absorvidos

Absorvidos is the masculine plural past participle of the verb absorver. Derived from the Latin absorbere, in Portuguese it functions primarily as an adjective, agreeing with the noun it describes, and can also appear in passive voice constructions. The term denotes the state of having absorbed something, whether a substance, energy, or information, or simply being immersed in an activity.

In everyday use, absorvidos describes people who are mentally focused, as in a sentence like "Ele ficou

The form absorvidos thus accommodates both literal and figurative meanings, and its use depends on the gender
