Aatomist

Aatomist is not a widely recognized term in standard reference works. It is typically understood as a misspelling or variant spelling of "atomist," a word that denotes a person who subscribes to atomism or who studies atoms in a scientific sense. In most contemporary uses, the standard spelling is atomist.

Atomist derives from the Greek atomon, meaning indivisible, and refers to either a philosophical position or a scientific focus on atomic theory. In philosophy, an atomist is someone who defends atomism—the view that matter is ultimately composed of discrete, indivisible units called atoms, existing in a void.
