ATPsyntasets
ATPsyntasets is a term used to describe curated data collections that document measurements and metadata related to ATP synthesis across biological systems. The concept combines ATP, the energy currency of the cell, with datasets to emphasize integrated data needed to analyze energy production and its regulation. In practice, an ATPsyntaset would assemble data such as ATP production rates, activity of ATP synthase complexes, expression levels of ATP synthase subunits, substrate concentrations, and environmental conditions (temperature, pH, ion availability). Data types may include kinetic parameters, metabolic flux values, thermodynamic constraints, and the effects of inhibitors or modulators.
The purpose of ATPsyntasets is to enable cross-study comparisons, meta-analyses, and the development of predictive models
