Built on a 7-nanometer process, it includes a six-core CPU with two high-performance cores and four efficiency cores, a four-core GPU, and an eight-core Neural Engine. The A12 was used in iPhone models such as the XS, XS Max, and XR, and it emphasized improved performance and AI capabilities for mobile tasks.

In the United Kingdom, the A12 denotes a major trunk road running northeast from London to the east coast, serving as a key link between the capital and eastern England. It connects with other primary routes and supports regional traffic, commerce, and travel.
